Political Links

This post about how American soldiers drive in Iraq has been around a few weeks now, and is still getting comments. It was linked on a couple of Iraqi sites and passed around by US service folks.

President Bush wants to cut cancer research funding for the second year in a row — this time by $40 million.

Profiles in Courage: Zube Girl is in the middle of a high-risk pregnancy. But she still made the effort to testify in front of a Senate Hearing Committee about her experience with rape and unwanted pregnancy years ago, in order to further a bill that would compel hospitals to inform rape victim of their emergency contraception alternatives. It’s sad that the government would have to compel hospitals to provide information, but thats the way it is.
